The Podcasts for the March 9th show are up for your listening pleasure!
A busy week: the anti-gun people are out in full force with Diane Feinstein telling us that it is legal to hunt humans with high capacity mags and School systems expelling kids for biting their Pop Tarts into the shape of a gun.
What has happened to common sense in America?
A 17 year old is told to remove his Marine Corps shirt because it has an emblem showing crossed rifles, and an 8 year old has to remove “Green Army Men” from his birthday cupcakes.
Have these anti-gun people gone mad? What threat to the other students is a Pop Tart, a T-Shirt with a Marine Corps Logo, or a 1 inch tall plastic “Army Man”?
Years ago we played “Cop and Robbers”, Cowboys and Indians” and we did not experience this sort of shootings. Perhaps it was because morals were taught and people respected other individuals and their rights. We did not have extremely violent movies and video games desensitizing people to senseless acts of violence.
I recall in Junior High School bringing a rifle stock into Industrial Arts (Shop) class to refinish the stock. Today the whole town would be in “lock down” because of a piece of wood that posed no threat to anyone.
Access to guns was much greater in the 50’s and 60″s. I couldn’t wait to get the new Sears Catalog to look at the guns that we could order and have delivered directly to our home. Today this is no longer possible, background checks and other requirements make it harder to buy firearms, yet these senseless shootings occur.
What has changed:
- Lack of Morals,
- Lack of Respect,
- Lack of Family influence,
- Lack of Training?
- Lack of enforcement for laws already on the books.
What is this new push for Gun Control really about?
On Saturday we took calls on handloading and ammunition availability. One caller was interested in the requirements for changing his address on a CPL license and a High Powershooter was concerned about a possible interaction between recoil and his implanted Defibrillator/Pacemaker
