I have been shooting for over 60 years. Beginning with shooting tin cans off a fence post on our family farm in Indiana with my BB gun at the age of five, I have been a lifelong shooting enthusiast. Pellet guns and .22’s rifles soon followed and when my grandfather added a Ruger Single Six revolver in 1968 it cemented my passion for all things ballistic!
As with many kids growing up in the 60’s I was exposed to historical firearms through the popular westerns and military shows on broadcast television. From Winchester 94’s to M1 Garand’s and 1911’s the allure of blued steel and walnut has continued to grow.
Following graduation from Purdue University in 1979, I moved to southeast Michigan in pursuit of a career in aviation, eventually transitioning to the automotive industry. For over 321/2 years I have held management positions at Ford Motor Company in Manufacturing Engineering and Product Development and in December 2018 I retired as the Program Manager for Commercial Vehicles Sustainability products which includes Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) and electrified vehicles.
Wishing to share the same enjoyment of the shooting sports inspired by my grandfather, I became an NRA Certified Instructor and Concealed Pistol License (CPL) Instructor. I host ” Triggertalk Radio” every Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on WAAM Talk Radio AM 1600 in Ann Arbor, MI.
I hope to use this site to make available my weekly radio segments, as well as have a continuing dialog with people interested in the shooting sports.

Everybody has to start someplace in shooting , I was fortunate to have my Grandfather get me started and have continued that passion for over 60 years. If I don’t know the answer, I’ll find out.
