It has been a long time coming, but I finally got all the pictures taken for this Post.
Tom from Northfield Township did an outstanding job testing 16 different 40 S&W rounds for expansion and penetration. I will post them in the order that Tom ranked them for effectiveness.
Overall the rounds had good expansion in Tom’s Test media that replicates ballistic gelatin. However the first eight also continued to expand when contacting Tom’s simulated bone material. This could be important if you are in a defensive situation relying on maximum damage to center of mass for a quick stop.
