Show Files are up on the podcast page!
We had a fun show this week:
In the first segment we covered some of the ridiculous applications of law and rules from around the country.
TSA made the airways safer for all by confiscating the 1 1/2 inch toy Sock Monkey prop from a Sock Puppet made to look like Roost Cogburn from True Grit
Thank goodness no one was hurt!
And you thought TSA Stood for Thousands Standing Around!
We also talked about the aftermath of last years Shooting in Newtown CT.
In the wake of the event over 1500 new laws were proposed and approx. 100 were actually voted on implemented.
What the Anti-Gun people did not expect was the Newton ignited a flame that inpired people to recognize that gun laws cannot stop event like Newton. The shooter broke 41 laws in the commission of his crime, including murdering his mother to get the guns.
The backlash was that over 2/3 of the new law enacted actually reduced restrictions on law abiding gun owners.
The chart below shows the breakdown by state as to which states relaxed gun laws (yellow), which states restricted guns more (blue) did not change any laws (black) and which states had and even split (Illinois).
